2026 International Women's Conference at Hofstra University
The 2026 International Women's Conference at Hofstra University united global leaders, royalty and media figures for a day of empowerment and leadership.
The International Women’s Conference drew women leaders, professionals and advocates to Hofstra University on March 11, bringing together voices from government, law enforcement, royalty and media for a full day of panels, keynote addresses and discussions centered on leadership, empowerment and global impact.
ABC News anchor Chantee Lans served as master of ceremony for the event, which was organized by Dr. Neva Alexander, founder and CEO of Nevalliance.
The conference was built around five core program segments: the Her Voice Panel Discussion, the Her Power Fireside Chat, the Her Culture Panel Discussion, the Her Legacy Panel Discussion and a featured segment called “15 Minutes with Dr. Neva.”
In that segment, Dr. Alexander spoke about her motivation for building the conference and the broader mission behind her work. She addressed the importance of creating spaces where women can connect, learn and lift one another up. Her remarks focused on collaboration, purpose-driven leadership and the need for women to build lasting impact within their communities and beyond.
Dr. Alexander’s work centers on building women’s legacies through strategic development. She has a Women’s Wealth Weekend scheduled, described as a growth experience for women consultants looking to elevate their practices.
The conference featured two keynote addresses.
HRH Queen Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo I, a queen from the Ga State of Ghana, delivered the first. Her address focused on women’s leadership, cultural heritage and the influence women hold in shaping communities and driving global progress. She called for unity and encouraged women to lead with courage and purpose.
New York State Senator Siela Bynoe delivered the second keynote. Bynoe, who represents a district in Nassau County, spoke on leadership in public service and the importance of civic engagement. She urged women to step into policy and governance roles and to advocate for equity, representation and opportunity at every level.
The Her Power Fireside Chat was moderated by Dr. Corrinne Graham and featured Elizabeth M. Daitz, Assistant Commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department. Daitz discussed her leadership journey and offered insights on resilience and the responsibilities that come with senior positions in law enforcement. The conversation explored how women can draw on their experiences to lead with purpose and inspire others in male-dominated fields.
The range of speakers reflected the conference’s broad scope. From a West African queen addressing cultural legacy to a state senator pushing for policy change to a senior county law enforcement official discussing institutional leadership, the program moved across sectors to present multiple models of women’s influence and authority.
The event at Hofstra added to a growing calendar of women’s leadership programming on Long Island. Organizers did not immediately release attendance figures or announce a date for the next annual conference.
Dr. Alexander continues her work through Nevalliance, with the Women’s Wealth Weekend representing her next major programming effort for women in consulting and professional services.
